Our Culture
Hamernick Decorating Center has been a staple in the floor covering
community for more than 60 years. Our commercial contracting division
has grown leaps and bounds to not only service the Twin city metro
area, but great Minnesota and Wisconsin as well. Our success and
growth is due primarily to our attention to detail and managing
projects from start to finish. Referrals and repeat business, coupled
with the hands on approach of a family owned business, have
contributed to our considerable growth. We are committed to giving you
quality products, knowledgeable interior designers and project
managers, along with timely and professional installation.
Our
People
Hamernick's commercial contracting division consists of floor covering
project managers, paint project managers, interior designers, support
staff, warehouse and delivery personnel and company union installers.
Our wealth of experience includes successful projects ranging from
business offices, schools, healthcare facilities, hospitality and
government buildings to residential condominiums and town home
projects.
Our Facilities
Our facilities in St. Paul include a large commercial library of
architectural folders not limited to tile and stone, carpet, carpet
tile, wood flooring, vinyl flooring, wall covering and acoustical
products. Our warehouse space is fully staffed with cutting machinery
and knowledgeable personnel.
Products
Products from all major manufacturers are available and we participate
in on-going training on uses, installation and maintenance in this
ever changing market.

Affiliations

INSTALL is a comprehensive training program for residential,
commercial, and institutional floor covering installers throughout the
United States and Canada.
INSTALL’s curriculum is delivered via classroom and hands-on
training over four years, focusing on carpet, linoleum, vinyl and
other resilients, hardwood, laminate, ceramic tile, stone, and
artificial turf and sports surfaces.
A 12-member International Labor-Management Committee for the Floor
Covering Industry, representing more than 400 years of experience,
steers the INSTALL program. Labor representatives are members of the
United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America. INSTALL
constantly teams with leading mills and manufacturers to make sure
that what is being taught reflects current labor needs in the floor
covering industry.
INSTALL craftsmen are confident, proud of their training and
professionalism and take pride in their work. They are trained to
maximize productivity so that contractors remain profitable and
competitive in the industry.

IFMA is the largest and most widely recognized professional
association for facility management, supporting more than 18,500
members. The Association's members are represented in 125 chapters, 15
councils and one Special Interest Group (SIG), in 60 countries
worldwide. Globally, IFMA certifies facility managers, conducts
research, provides educational programs, recognizes facility
management degree and certificate programs and produces World
Workplace, the largest facility management-related conference and
exposition.

BXSP is a
trade association that serves the construction industry of
St. Paul, the state of
Minnesota and the upper
Midwest area.
BXSP is an
alliance of 635 member firms representing general contractors,
subcontractors, material suppliers, construction services firms,
machinery, retail, and manufacturing representatives. Our members
also included banking, real estate, surety bonding, and insurance
businesses.
